Salmon fishing is closed I know, but is there anything that can be fished for in there presently besides sturgeon?

just about any small patch of clear water at the mouth of a creek or river can have some cutthroat or bull trout present.

This time of the year bull trout fishing can be pretty good, especially downstream from the Pitt River mouth. Even when the water clarity is poor, you can still get them with lures if you don't want to use roe.

Outgoing tide just after peak has always been best for me.

incoming 2-3 hours before peak is deadly in tidal fraser , with roe for sure
