This is the biggest joke of a fishing report I've ever seen in my life. The entire video says FAIL!

I don't mind the fishing report at all lol damn that girl needs to make more. Props to her wading that water whether it was safe or not she's a trooper! Dont get why everyone gives this guy a hard time? Who is he hurting, he's just a guy whos trying to be helpful and you guys make him out to be a monster. Seriously people just need to chill and not sweat the little things.

I don't troll bro lol. I just watched a few of his videos. Don't like how sticks his hands in the gills but really he's just saying how the fishing is and ect. I really don't see the big deal. That's just one guys opinion

I get that. However there is a reason his comments section is disabled. He does not take any constructive feedback on how he could better handle fish etc. Instead he decides to shoot down these people and portray them as "haters" on the page.
Eventually he got tired and decided to turn off comments.

Overall, its just the blatantly unethical and sometimes illegal behaviour he is putting out there as "acceptable" on the net.

i agree with salmonlover....the guy is just making vids on the vedder river. his ways are not ethical to everyone and believes what he is doing is the norm but lets face it.....just a guy with a video camera. Ive seen much worse on the chilliwack than what his videos show. Im not protecting this guy but he's not the only fisherman fishing this way. Too easy to make him a scapegoat from the masses.

Redtide , so it's accpetable to allow him to perpetuate the problems on the river? Now new people to fishing find his videos and think his actions are acceptable, and that just makes the problem worse. The people that have a problem with him are trying to fix problems, and not just burry our heads in the sand.
Ignorance is not acceptable.

More videos of her and less of him!! Why is she not wearing a PFD I mean come one now. I dont even blame her as she is probably not that well educated in how strong the river currents are and what the circumstances are from a bad fall. He is just a total idiot and his choice of what he kills is beyond anything I would even consider as good table fare.

He could have posted that video under the title: "How to get rid of your girlfriend". I believe she is a bit of an attention seeker, and I am fine with that - after all, we live in Kardashian times... ::) But crossing that stretch of river without a PFD and a wading staff is just plain stupid. It could have easily gone so bloody wrong.

I don't know this guy or gal, nor what they are trying to accomplish by posting this narcissistic attention whoring rubbish. But it is kinda comical to me how he is seemingly taking himself quite seriously.

He did not distinguish between those who were and those who were not. guilt by association .

Yea. But sometimes it's easier to put a weed block on the whole lawn to keep a few bad ones that keep coming back. Though I think Ken will realize that on youtube you actually want the comments to be open for all. There are always going to be аsshоlеs who spew hateful comments or overreact on every little thing.

I honestly thought the video was a comedy until I read the comments.
"As usual a fish was landed without the camera within distance". I laughed as I saw the fish that looked like it had died of natural causes. That fish would have been tossed back do quick if I had have caught it.
Are we sure this guy isn't just trolling the fishing community and getting everyone worked up over nothing?

either you failed to watch his videos completely or you're not aware of some of the infractions he committed...if you did, you would think he needed to help himself first before passing misinformation to others.
The biggest Red Flag was when he suggested to viewers not to call RAPP when they see people fishing illegally because he despised "rats". I don't know about you, but I don't see that as trying to be helpful to anyone.

The hate speech sucks, I was trying to be as constructive as possible, but he still deleted everything. He too posted some pretty racist ignorant comments on Rod's YouTube page prior to starting his own. But two wrongs don't make a right.

Hm... I see. Well I hope Ken takes this as an opportunity to improve, after all this is what we are here for. Though well meaning comments will go a long way in helping an individual see where one might improve.

I think it's been pointed out already but all this attention actually helps Ken. Think of all the extra views he gets on you tube... that could turn into $ for him. Some people will actually take his advice and there'll be more of the type of angler some of you seem to despise. They'll watch every report he posts for is 'tips'. Could be more $ for him. Get over it - get on with your life.

I used to be in the YouTube game and made money making videos. He will make absolutely nothing with the amount of views / subscribers he has. I would say around $0.10 per video. Giving him views really doesn't do much. YouTube pays out depending on how many clicks you get on the advertisements in the video. There is a minimum payout of $100 so without a doubt he has not reached that. So as of right now I can say that he has not gained anything.
I believe that the only reason why he continues is because of the likes / dislikes. He still gets around 50- 50 ratio of likes to dislikes. If you all want him to stop making videos what you have to do is get a large ratio of dislikes to likes. He keeps making videos because he is trying to satisfy the half of his audience. If he realizes that 50 people dislike his video while only 10 like it he might get it through his thick skull that he is doing something wrong.

You might be joking, but the guy sends a point across. He is ridiculing what the Vedder fishery has become. He highlights every single negative thing that we witness every day on the river, but hardly do anything about. Foul-hooking, flossing, snagging, unsafe procedures, retention of less than palatable fish - Vedder at its worst. The more I watch, the more I believe the guy is a sarcastic genius.
He sure got the forum talking, even if it is to make fun of him. But if you look at the bigger picture, I think he is doing the river a service.

Milo as an experienced hand on the V-C you know it's just been recently corrupted by the long sockeye opening on the Fraser! ;D It was all sweetness and light for generations before that. How a man's heart can ruined by a simple bouncing betty why who knew? [sarcasm]. As for folks like him that kill boots, excellent! If they stick to their limit they'll be off the river sooner. Ken will feed his prize to his dinner guests and they'll nod politely and say 'nice, doesn't taste fishy at all' but once they leave they'll never make plans to go salmon fishing

I disagree. If he's trying to be sarcastic, the only people that will get it are experienced anglers. Less experienced people are going to see his videos on Youtube and start imitating what he's doing which includes bb'ing and poor fishing handling techniques.

well it's just a rumour but you should know more than I know. As far as integrity goes, it's what can be seen here on Fishing with Rod. What right now makes it the best fishing discussion board in BC. Always innovative Rod championed the quality fishing experiences we ignored for decades. pea mouth chub, carp, pike minnow, chum and pink salmon. He came here a stranger with none of the local prejudices and made it a better place. Kudos to Rod & Nina, his crew and all the members of here. They are still doing it.
