Hit a secret flow today, got rewarded id say! no hatchery but this is just as good!

Nice fish 42047 good to see their are few left in that system got my first steely out of there Christmas day 1973 dam im old ::) got a couple today on the stamp

hate to guess, but your secret flow looks a lot like the Stamp.

Nice fish man, That fish looks like the one you got on the stamp , but i think you got that on the allouette
That fish is too big for an Alouette fish.

That fish, and the fish in the prevous, look alot like the same fish. U have the same white hood, the same toque. The dots in the areas have the same patterns as well. Looks to me like you took to pics of the same fish, coloured the background out, and said it was a diffrent fish.

and by the way how many steelies have you seen coho kid? most do have similar black dot groupings...... and if you look close there not identicle......

NIce fish. Definatly two different fish. And i wouldn't say the size of a stream has any correlation to the size of the fish that return. I've seen huge fish in small creeks.

thanx those beleivers..... and not that i have to but just to prove to some of you who cant seem to beleive there 2 diff fish....... look at the spot pattern on the one i got today notice how it comes down way closer to the belly then the one on the stamp

my brother got a 20# hatchery in the alouette in 1987, those years on the Ally were so awesome 100 fish years were not uncommon, so Brian you never know
I agree just a rare thing. I know of one 15lber taken last year but that was the biggest I heard last year. Most I see are in the 7-10lb range.

By the way many have gotten steelhead from that flow.. So It's not your secret. And it wont be a secret much longer if you keep posting fish pics from it. I Imagine there was no crowds today.. Lets keep it that way.

You guys crack me up who cares if it is the same fish or not? It is certainly a nice one.
There are many "secret" systems within 2 hours of Vancouver where you can find relative solitude and small wild runs of winter steel. I enjoy sampling most of them but try not to do it too often. Alot of these runs are measured in the tens or hundreds and may not be strong enough to support even modest fisheries.
When you do go make sure your C+R skills are top notch any fish killed accidentally by a poor release will be a huge loss to already severely hurting populations.

There really aren't any true secret rivers left within a few hours of the lower mainland. You are sadly mistaken if you believe you are the only one that knows about your own "secret river". Just don't catch too many of the poor fish, and be careful when taking your hero shots. A single fish lost in one of these rivers is devastating.

nice fish..... and who really cares where it came from. there are many little flows around the lowermainland that barely get fished for steelhead.... i can think of one right now......... but i ain't sayin ;D

First fish has a more stubby nose/head as the other is more bullet than "pig" faced.

only titled it secret flow because of people like you reading posts and going to the egzact spot where it was caught cause you cant find your own water without the help of others, 2ndly i will post any picture i want to, and 3rdly i will tell whoever the hell i want about that flow and dont need your permision. thanx for your concern though buddy :-* :-* :-*
