Maybe one will bite my Maple Leaf red topped spinning glow with a 3 foot leader that will be sitting, spinning patiently and stationary in 5 feet of water. :-\ ;D

E-mail sent.

Hi Deb and Mel,

Any word from the department that the size restriction will be coming off chinooks in the non tidal section of the Fraser. Many anglers are asking this same question.

Thanks for the reply.

Chris

If your quick on the draw, when one of them bumps into your spinnin glo yard back real hard. They have a soft mouth and backside  ;D

Was at Peg on Saturday.  Water is too high on the "walk in side".  High enough that they're launching boats right at the end of the farm road where you drive in.  the channels have really moved around a bunch.  The good old north-south channel is now a big "S" curve.  Watched the currents for a while and the new path is still doing some serious carving.  Saw square meters of bar washed away over a matter of 15 minutes.

Scoped it out with the depth sounder and found some serious drop-off's out there.  Gently sloping to 4 or 5 feet and then rapid drops to 10'+.  The upper bar on the walk-in side extends about 40 yards further to the west now and the current has cut a new channel through the lower bar on the "boat side".  Several back-eddies now.   It's going to take the BB'ers some time to figure out how to fish Peg.  It ain't what it was 3 years ago!

If you venture out there, be very cautious on the walk-in side - there's some drops to 5' deep just 1 step from shore.  If you have to try Peg, way up top is the safest

I know sockeye can be fun but please just take your 2 and leave the space for some others.  There'll still be lots of Springs after the sockeye closes.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day.  Teach him how to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.
