GIBBS FLOATS????

What happend to the gibbs floats matirial wise? They are no longer the soft foam but a more dence produdct. why did this happen does anyone know? and can you still get soft foam floats?

im not sure of the grm weight but they are about as skinny as my pinky and 2 spit shots hold it quite nicley but the new matirial is wierd i had a fish on with a brand nw float and my line cut right through my float??????? this never happend with the old soft ones

Really?
I thought different weight floats are meant to be used in different types of water...and to think that all this time I have been carrying a variety of floats, from 15 grams all the way up in order to 35 to match the water conditions. Go figure... :o

must be hard to cast those with a fly rod milo  ;)

and i also do carry a variety of floats as well, but thats always just been my go to float. sorry shouldve mentioned that in the first post.

I use a 35g DNE about 90% of the time. Maybe thats what I've been doing wrong all these years  :-[

A float is a float is a float. It doesn't really matter what you use IMO... DNE are nice and so are drennans, but I usually just use whatever I find  :D I'm sure Chris would agree that's the best way to do it!
