Isn't it unethical to post someone elses picture without permission?

I wouldn't have put it on the 'Net if I was afraid of what people would do with it.   Thanks for you concern though.    Any image on the 'Net is available for "fair use".  i.e. it can be used to illustrate a point, help someone out, etc.  But it CANNOT be misrepresented as belonging to anyone other than the original creator of the picture, unless they have expressly released it for use into the public domain.

Of course, that means that I can use your images to illustrate that perhaps a guide could help you avoid THIS situation in the future, and teach you how to release a dark chinook WITHOUT dragging it on the rocks :)

Lets not jump to conclusions, maybe he kept that fish. After all taking things out of context gets people excited.

However, there are things in that particular gallery that are unaaceptable, personal attacks and derogatory slander are not cool. One of my best friends is a 'HOMO' and was not impressed by that. Although wait, apparently any pic on the interent is fair game assuming its being used in its correct context. So then in theory if someone was dumb enough to post a pic of a certain fishing spot that they named after themself on the interent then it would be fair game for me to show it post it and give directions to it. But wait, rather than posting this pic I warned you about it and in exchange I got chastized. Class act right there.

I must be obtuse....where are these specific regs listed?  (I can't find the number 57 in either province-wide, or region 2 regs)

Hmm... I'm quite disapointed DS.  :o

Go to www.google.ca and type in:

57. No person shall catch and retain

It should take you here:

Unfotunately I just checked the provincial regs.  Yes, it's interesting to see that #59 IS in the ammendment to the act, dated 2002.  I wonder if there are any people in violation of THAT?  And...why doesn't the province put that in the regs summary?

Ahhh Pink's!  Those picky, hard to catch, little salmon.  I might hire a guide this year to take me out and show me how to catch them ::)

Speaking of Lawyers, I think you have to be one to understand the regs. now a days. It's interesting, I mean if a beginner or out of Province steelheader reads the retention regs. he might possibly retain 2 Hatchery steelhead on the Chilliwack/Vedder system like it states.

What would happen to an angler if he/she was caught with two hatchery steelhead retained from the Chilliwack/Vedder system in his/her posession and produced the retention regs. to the fisheries officer? Would he/she be in for a fine etc?

My understanding is that while it APPEARS to be a different river, it is actually only ONE river, and hence only 1 fish and OFF the river!
