Curious: Are the Windmills still in use today?  Or are they preserved for historical purposes?

Not sure if people still use it, probably not. There are lots of old wind mills like that around the country. Someone lives in those white houses under it. Most old buildings (old as in several hundred year old) are well preserved and used for something in Denmark (with newly renovated interior).

Everywhere you go in Denmark, both on land and sea, you'll see these hard at work.

They make up about 25, 30% of electricity generated in this country.
