Title: Fishing Chum On The Salt Chuck on V.I. on TV 9 am Today (Nice Fish)
Post by: MyEscape on December 03, 2005, 06:51:49 AM
Check out Nice Fish with Gary Cooper and Blue Orca up in Browns Bay just North of Campbell River on Vancouver Island hammering Silver Bright Chum on the salt chuck and see why This Years Chum Derby in Oct was such a blast. You will also see why this is the most under rated salmon fishery out there. A Channel @ 9am Sat Dec 3. See ya at the derby next year. ;D

Cheers ME

Great show on the chum fishery, lots of huffing and puffing and screaming reels. Constant action fishing next to  the commercials. Does any one know what rods and reels Paul was using?,Sure gave Gar a workout  ;D never got a good look, looked like Islander reels.
Looked like they had a ton of fun, smiles all around.

Two forward deep rods are Shimano Talora 9'6" Med. Heavy with fast action tips with Islander ARMR2's.
Two rear shallow rods are Shimano 8'6" Med. Heavy with same tips with  Diawa M-One's.
I use this set up when I stack so you can clear lines easier.
All reels are lined with Maxima Ultra Green 20 pound.
