FRASER RIVER CANADA DAY
« on: July 02, 2004, 09:29:17 AM »

Went fishing with my pops and buddy.  I got my fish first, it was 18 lbs of chrome, fresh chinook.   Next it was buddy, gave chase, and netted a 16 lb chromer.  Fished for awhile longer, then another hookup, a much larger fish, It put up quite a battle, and frankly desearved to get away.  That fish must have cleared the water 4 times before it shook the hook right at the boat.  Day off from work, sun shining,  2 fresh chinook for the barb-e-que, and maybe a bit for the smoker.  Awsome.

Right now it sure does, the river is high and there are not alot of bars fishable without a boat.  The river is dropping, and there should be more areas to fish within a week or so.   There is still lots of fishing to be had, patience.  Sockeye will be open in about 2 weeks.   Has anybody heard of any reports from the Vedder?

BOAT

Sucks to be shorebound  :(

Dragon...you could have bought 2 boats for the price you paid for your Toyota. ;D

But it's hard to row to work, and up to the lakes :)
