I found out about this on another site and figured I would post it here as well.
There is a proposal to put a coal mine in that will affect the Bulkley River.
I had the pleasure of hitting the Bulkley for the first time last October.
It is truly a river worth fighting for!
Check out the link http://www.concernedaboutcbm.org/ it is very easy to fill out the survey on-line and the website seems informative!
Take 5minutes to get the survey in now and then take the time next election to vote and get Gordon Campbell out of power.
If you have been up there it is a no brainer to protect the area. If you have never been up there fill out the survey anyway! You can then rest happilly knowing that when you treat yourself to a road trip up there the fish will still be at the end of it!

Come on fisher people let us throw our support in voicing why this should not be done. This is one of the best steelhead rivers in the world. Once this river gets destroyed that will be it, you will never get a chance to fish this river ever again. I will be filling out the survey, and also will be sending a letter to my MLA....who by the way should be also trying to block this crazy development. Don't sit on your hands on this one, get involved.

Have never fished the river before but would like to someday so I filled out the survery.

Done. Petitions like this one would work well on our behalf to garnish the attention of those who make the regulations, don't ya think? Perhaps sending something like this in regarding snagging of fish and levels of enforcement to the powers that be might work?
Anyone have expereince setting something like this up?
