I will be up in Tofino in a couple weeks and I might be doing some fishing on the Kennedy river.
Has anyone fished there or know what i should expect?
I was going to bring my fly rod and maybe a spinning rod but i'm not sure that fish are in tehre and what tactics are good at this time of year. This will be my first trip to the island with my rod.

Do a search of this river on FishBC, as it has been discussed at length.

there really isn't too much info on the fishbc forum. All that is said is the upper kennedy is pretty much dead and the lower can contain cutthroat and rainbow trout. It also does get a salmon run but i assume its similar to the mainland and won't happen until later in the year.
Anyone know what kinda flies will work on that river in April?
