Apparently some people aren't in to the whole giving a straight answer thing. Don't believe me, then believe Freds. http://www.freds-bc.com/fishing_seasons.htm

Those charts are just a general guide and is not much indication on when the fishing is HOT.  However they do indicate when fish are generally supposed to be in the system.

Have heard that nobody should go into the canyon by themselves. Always go with a buddy.

Big Guy, there sure will be fish around. The Vedder should fish well for another two weeks, I hope at least... I have gotten fresh coho around the first and second week of November in the past. As most posters already mentioned, the north Fraser tributaries should also fish will for coho and chum. If you are really keen, you may want to venture out to Lower Squamish River for some ocean fresh chum salmon (most will be coloured, but you may hit the odd ones that are chrome).

Excited? :)

Big guy: it's as Rod said.  Fishing should be decent for at least a couple of weeks.  Also, you could try out by Nicomen and Norrish creek.  Seems to me they have late runs that go up to the end of November.  At Nicomen, you'll have to either barfish or cast spoons.  Or, you could wait a couple of weeks after that and try to target some early steelies.
