The Canucks scored 2 goals to get the game tied.
Then they decided to go into a defensive mode & try to run the clock to zero & get a pt in the least & possibly get the two in OT or the SO.
Hawks sensed the Canucks went into defensive shell so it was like blood in the water to great white sharks. With aprox 2 minutes a Hawk gets a close in shot from the left side. Nearly scored.
Then Hawk skates hard & goes over the blue line on the right wing & takes the shot.
Miller should of stayed more into the net but he comes out too far to cut the angle.
Shot goes wide & rebounds from behind right to a Hawk on the left side. Shoots & Miller dives / flops out to make a desperation stop. I think "OH NO"
Puck basically goes into the wide open net
If Miller stayed into the net, he would of been able to get over in time & in control to make a save.
Miller has been really good but he had a melt down on this play.
His mistake & team mates going into a defensive shell with 8 minutes left in the game.
This is hard on the heart.
Give the Hawks credit as they are one crafty skilled hard working team.
They play hard 98% of the time. A loss when it should of been at the very least a pt. as the Canucks played a very good game over all.
Chris uses the word "thrashed" ....OUCH !
( he can really use words that cut right to a poor guy's heart. As for me I never ever said 1 negative thing about the Leaf organization ever.

Think Chris is going to sleep well tonight. He got his revenge & kicked sand in our faces .....
Water under the bridge as will be watching very very closely the Leafs & Canuck's next games.
