defined in fishery notice FN-0785. Minimum mesh 100 mm. maximum depth 90
meshes. Maximum hang ratio 3:1. Corkline to web distance minimum 0 cm, maximum
1.5 m.

Gill Nets extended 24 hrs to 18:00 hrs Mon Aug 28 in the same Subareas as
defined in fishery notice FN-0785. Minimum mesh 100 mm. maximum depth 90
meshes. Maximum hang ratio 3:1. Corkline to web distance minimum 0 cm, maximum
1.5 m.
NOTE:
1. In the Roller Bay area (portion of Subareas 11-1, 11-2, 12-12, 12-11) gill
net set times are 45 minutes. In the Johnstone Straits area (Subareas 12-1,
12-3 and 12-4, portion of 12-6, 12-8, portion of 13-7, 13-8, 13-9 and 13-27 to
13-32), gill net set times are 60 minutes. All vessels must have operating
revival tanks that meet the specifications as outlined in the Area D conditions
of licence.
2. Gill net vessel masters must report their catch information to the service
provider for the previous days fishing through to midnight by 08:00 hours the
following morning. Gill net vessel masters must also record their catch
information in their log books for the previous days fishing through to
midnight by 08:00 hours the following morning.
3. Gill net vessel masters are reminded of the mandatory non-retention and non-
possession of coho, chinook and steelhead. Gill net vessel masters are asked to
release chinook to the water unharmed whenever possible.
4. Gill net vessel masters are reminded that logbooks, operating revival tanks
and one hour set times (except the Roller bay area) are mandatory as condition
of their licence and are legal requirements.
