As a long time Leaf fan I can help but feel for all you Canuck fans.  Gillis took this team who were one win away from Hockey's Holy Grail and did absolutely nothing to improve it, let it become a mere shadow of what they used to be.  How is it this guy still has a job. :(

Canucks finally get a win.
Calgary's PP reminded me of Vancouver's.
All they did was throw the puck around the Canucks zone & killed the Canucks penalty.
Once & awhile the Flames actually decided to shoot.  ;D

Canucks did a very smart move by getting the puck to the net & then getting 3 guys in there looking for rebounds.
The puck at that point is like in a pin ball machine bouncing about, & then there's a 50% chance they can bang it again towards the net.

Boston & Chicago do that all the time.
Guy either shoots at the net & other 2 forwards are skating in looking for rebounds OR the forward with the puck tries to carry it close to the net before he wrists or backhands it & then 3 forwards attack the net looking to bang in the rebound or available puck.
( sometimes it hits a D man's stick or leg )

The D 's & goalie nightmare is 3 forwards looking for the puck 5 ft. In front of the net.

Now will the Canucks put the play in their coming games or abandon what works ???

I predict the Canucks will win the Cup this year.

Give me another shot of whiskey.
Yikes !!! 7 goals against in the 3rd period after no goals allowed for 2 periods.

This has to be in a tv show " Believe it or Not "
Get out the paper brown bags with 3 holes.
2 for eyes & 1 for the nose.

Really feel sorry for the head coach Torts as he is trying to rally the troops & keep a brave front during all these losses.
When it was 3-0, the thought is this has to be another W.
Now the Leafs can feel better after their meltdown last year.
Canucks proved it can be copied.

Many BC NHL sports fans who cheer on the Leafs or Montreal Canadians when they play in Vancouver possibly are laughing at the "meltdown" of the Canucks the other day.
7 goals against the Canucks in 1 period. Yikes!

But there is a team that allowed 9 goals in one period to set the present day record.
Any guesses who that team may be.

Get your head out of the sand all you T.O. fans.
The answer is the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Not too far back in time either. :-[

Maybe the team had food poisoning or the flu ?
""" bad news before the game?
"""" the players want to get their head coach fired?
"""" players wanted  more money to play harder?
20 minutes in a period divided by 9 goals= a goal nearly every 2 minutes.

Has anyone noticed a change regarding the Canucks?

After 2 months of horrible play the team presently is skating & working hard.
Coach Torts has that shock look on his face & seems rather quiet ,tamed & subdued.
He knows after all the losses in Jan Feb & March ( melt down ) the sports media are wanting answers & calling for " heads to be chopped "
Fire the coach or GM.

The players I truly believe like Torts & Mike G. so something tells me they are playing hard so they will not be fired.
Also of course want to save their own job.

What drama with the Panthers & Canucks having a shootout to see who gets 2 pts.

Yahoo Canucks get the W.

Luongo has a lot of pressure in Florida with his big $ but nothing like what he went thru in Vancouver.
He has to feel good though as the Vancouver fans cheered for him at the end instead of booing.

That Kassian named guy (sp?) is always taking dumb penalties.
Got the guy from Buffalo Sabres.
Get rid of the guy.
Plus 2 goals go off the same Canuck D player.

Nearly tied it up though, 4-3 L nevertheless.

If Dallas Stars can lose a few & Phoenix Predators do the same & the Canucks get hot ,there is a chance they get into the play-offs.
& who knows they just may from there "make a good run"

Sports results can surprise & leave the experts with: "Who would of ever thought that would happen ! "

Phoenix Coyotes, Nashville Predators. Odds of the Canucks making the playoffs are about the same as me winning the Lotto :D, but we can also hope
