fishing from a dock for prawns

does anyone know where i can fish for prawns from a dock or without a boat

If it can be done I would sure want to know as well. I think they are in deep water though so not quite sure where it can be done.

The only place I have seen it done was in Knight Inlet.
Sheer rock walls all 'round and the Lodge dock was right over the dropoff.
The Guides dropped their traps right off the dock and cleaned up-but it was a couple of hundred feet deep.

when i was younger my dad would take me to catch prawns, I can not be sure on the exact location but it is either sunset marina or lions bay marina. We would drop the traps and go fishing for red snappers.
