does anyone know if there is good fishing in whistler.... i am going up there for my anniversary but plan on sneaking away in the mornings

I believe Alta lake might be good - I think it's stocked (Check FishWizard to be sure)

When is your anniversary?
I ask because if it is coming up soon, then rivers would probably not be an option.  Do you have a boat/tube that you can use and will you be flyfishing or gear/bait fishing?
There are many lakes in the area, but most would probably require a boat/tube to be fished properly as shore access can be limited due to private property.  How far away from Whistler are you willing to travel?
Give us a little more relevant info and perhaps some suggestions will trickle in.

I was there this past weekend and didnt bother fishing... went to a few lakes to check them out but nothing spectacular.....
