Title: Duncan, Two-Bit, and Poplar Bars
Post by: DBM on August 05, 2006, 08:13:46 PM
Anyone fish these bars this time of year?  I refuse to have my kids witness the gong show happening further upstream so we've been spending time on Duncan bar.  It's nice and quiet but fishing is slow.  A couple of guys next to us were doing Okay with small sturgeon, but all we've managed to do is feed roe to the coarse fish.

I'm curious, has anyone ever have any luck salmon fishing these bars this time of year?

You get the odd springs there at this time of the year but I barfished there for coho in the fall using roe in bags. It's not a good place for sockeyes.
