Fraser River Boat Launches
« on: July 31, 2010, 09:14:07 PM »

Can anyone give me locations of boat launches from the Port Mann Bridge to Hope.

I know about the one in Fort Langley (that one is in awful shape), the one in Mission and the one on Island Bar 22.  Are there any other ones?

Pumping station at Barrowrown, acess from the North side of # 3 Road  that is West of the Vedder Canal, (google earth).
Old Orchard Road, Jesperson Road, Gill Road and Agassiz Rosedale Bridge, Rosedale side.

Some you must water levels into consideration.

Any one out there know what are the conditions are like for launching at the Old Orchard gravel launch?
Is there a particular way in and out?
I'm a little nervous about the location of the channels around there area.
I'm hoping to shorten my run to lower the bars
Normally I'd run up from the Dewdny....which BTW...now charges $10 per set in or a season pass for $50.
I've got a 14ft aluminum with a OB & prop.
And while I'm asking is there another rough launch at the end of McDonald road?
How reliable is that one?
Any help is always appreciated.

Depending on the size of your boat most of the time one can launch there but a few snags to watch for. McDonald Road in Agassiz? If that is the one you are asking about it is now closed because of garbage dumping etc.
