Title: Halibut charters leaving from Vancouver?
Post by: nicfillion on July 27, 2015, 01:14:48 PM
Hi Folks,

I have a friend over who'd like to go Halibut fishing for a day trip leaving from Vancouver on August 3rd (no need to reply later!). Do you know if there are any good charters doing that? I was googling around, but most seem to leave from the Island.

If there's isn't any, do you have other suggestions for other sea excursions?

Thanks!
Nic

Second that!
West coast Van Island
It's possible inside but  way less likely.
Sooke/Peddar Bay (outside of Victoria) works...

Day trip to the Southern part of Vancouver Island is possible for a 6 hour halibut trip.

We recently fished with Gord Gavin at Sea Ghost Fishing Charters based out of Pedder Bay near Sooke. Highly recommended.

Okay! Thank you all.

Btw, @Rodney, I have gone to Tunkwa lake last weekend after seeing your video. It was great, thanks for that too!
