  • Where's my strike indicator?

Water condition hasn't changed this morning after overnight's drizzle. It's raining lightly now but fairly cool so it should still be ok tomorrow.

Good fishing continues. Lots of wild fish again this morning, which is great to see. The only hatchery fish of the day turned out to be a piggy. ;D Gibbs #35 silver/orange Koho spoon was the ticket again this morning.

Nice! That fish is bigger than you, Rod.
Fins are certainly getting darker. Won't be long before they're all tomatoes.

This is indeed good news! Rod, do you know how other rivers are doing so far year regarding wild coho?  Just wonder if the Vedder's numbers are different and if this could be attributed to the habitat restoration efforts on this system.

Perhaps others could chime in regarding this.

  • We need longer weekends...when fishing is good

I've been fishing the streams on the north side of the Fraser for the past 2-3 weeks and so far my wild-hatch ratio is 9 to 2. Mainstream of the Fraser (Tidal only), it's been 7-3.

100%

Really wow, I know a lot of systems where they barely even clip 50%.

Chum central again today, quite a few nice fish rolling in with sea lice attached. A regular to the area I fish at got two nice hatchery cohos and one wild, as for me I got nothing as I arrived late and had no blades to toss. :o

Hey John! Nice meeting another member on the forum. ;D Hope you got some fish on the two-hander, I might have to bring out the single and have some fun tomorrow if the water levels don't spike.

As for me... gonna rest my forearm now. :'(

With the weather clearing up this afternoon, the kiddo caught 5 pounds of candy and chocolate at last light. Cute costume was the key. You'd you guys make out?

Went and recorded my wife's band at a Halloween party tonight, I donot think this video will get me in trouble. lol https://youtu.be/7NHHRJSYkPc

I think my wife's costume was cute too and she made it all herself as she liked the Downton Abby series, I did 2 chocolate bars.

Back on topic, rain has now stopped so the river should be fine in the AM.

  • catch anything?

definately too many wilds in the river this year.....about 18 wilds for october and only 12 keepers. somedays all i catch is wild coho. Ive never caught this many wild coho on the vedder before.  My biggest coho was first week of october estimate about 15-18 lbs was a wild female. Absolutely gorgeous fish too.  :'( .........back to the water she went.
