My and my wife went fishing also.  Hooked and landed 1 hatchery Coho.  Hook and landed a number of white springs and chums.  Did not keep any of the white springs and chums.

There way a mishaps with my wife and the spat out hook.  She sustained a minor injury.  We end up cutting our fishing outing.  So we fished only end up fishing for a couple of hours.

Possession limit he is referring to I think....

You bet. 1 spring and 1 chum per day, up to a total of 4 fish including coho, but only 2 day possession limit for crossing the border.

Anyone have any names or numbers of the local campgrounds by chance?

Thanks in advance,
Scott

Beartrack .... from the link above, I have stayed at the Vedder River Campgrounds a number of times. They have tent sites and full/partial hook-ups but are only open until the end of October. The location is mid-river (across from Lickman) so it is fairly central.

Good luck!

would you believe it. after miles of hiking and about 150 dollars of gas and gear, i finally hooked and landed my first hatchery coho... talk about getting the 'monkey off my back'.  on top of that, it was a nice doe (maybe 8 lbs) that was slightly 'off chrome', but very clean and full of tight roe. ;D

i caught it past mid river, using white wool with red eyes, on a #2 hook. 20 inches of leader and 10 inches of float to swivel/weight... i also found procured roe to be effective, but produced more spring strikes, than cohos.
i spotted a few pools of fish sitting at bottom, but found   they were lathargic....tailouts, prior to river bends seem to hold the freshest and cleanest fish, still readily taking 'bait'.

for those who still haven't landed any hatchery cohos.....if you don't give up....chances are, you'll land one before the end of the season. ;)...perseverance is key. ;)

$18.75/lb salmon (and roe) but fresh air and fishing = priceless.

way to go blayd, now I bet they'll keep coming. Often the coho are hidding back in the tailouts to get away from those mean springs.

I hate to be negative but  I believe your not allowed to pass your rod off to other  fishermen so they can get there springs.Thats what I was told by the co,also I hate when people do that..my 2 cents
