Good 4x4 accessible system?

Hey guys, I have just purchased a new Jeep, and since I do not have a boat to toe, I have to get some use out of this thing so I want to take it to a productive / scenic lake or part of a river system that is only accessibly by 4x4. It would also be my first time out this season with the rod, so I'd like to make it a good one. Any ideas would be much appreciated. I'm currently in Coquitlam, but areas not in "close" proximity will also be considered! Any other Jeepers out there with ideas would be a plus :)

If you're not into salmon give Jones Lake a try....its takes about 20 mins to 4X4 up the mountain but once you're there it amazing.  Its a good place to shore fish for trout

Nothing wrong with salmon, but a remote system that not everyone can get to is far more appealing. Thanks for the recommendation, with no other options yet, I think I have my first adventure ;D

Weaver Lake is supposedly good fishing too.  Sayres Lake up by Stave is accessable by 2wd trucks but isn't too busy.  No motors on Sayres, gotta get out the ol' canoe.

Try Francis Lake, it is just above Weaver, it is a small lake but very productive and quite a ride in.

Francis is rough but not that rough I've been told. I keep forgetting to go in there because i get distracted with other places to explore/fish LOL

by not rough i mean a stock 4x4 should be able to make it just fine.

Welll THERE goes my secret lake ;)

Be advised... Francis is NOT a big lake.  The drive in is quite easy for a 4x4... it can be quiet.

Thanks for the advice guys. My Jeep is currently all stock, so that's encouraging to know I can still make it and have SOME fun with it. How is the scenery up there?

Are you taking the gravel road in there? or the real 4X4 road in from Weaver lake road? Be aware lots of logging going on there right now.

It depends what people are telling me is which. Which road has said logging on it, and is still OK/legal to be on said road with the logging?
