Indian Arm Fishing

New to the area. Does anyone Know if there are any winter spring feeders in the arm? And what would one use to attract these fish? Or Could anyone specify where would be the best place to fish and launch areas?

I hear their are some winter springs in front of the powerhouse in Indian arm.

Why would there be springs up the arm? I though that with the exception of the pink run for the Indian River the arm was pretty much barren of salmon.

I'd love to be wrong though!

Nikko i was talking about winter springs. These fish are not returning to any rivers yet. Winter springs are actively feeding and aslong as their is food around like herring they will be their too. I wonder if anyone catches herring in the arm. I know the last time i was at cates park ppl were using herring jigs of the dock. I didn't see them catch anything though.

05 was bad. Not as many herring around as 04.

Well if there is the odd herring their I am sure their is the odd spring around. I probably would go somewhere else to target them like bowen island, however if your in the arm waiting for your crab traps to fill why not drop a line. You never know.

i saw a school of herrings jumping at cates park around sunrise.
i belive something was chasing the herrings.

Maybe it was a winter spring. I remember one night while we were anchored in Caaamano sound we couldn't sleep because all night the springs were boiling the herring to the surface and splashing everywhere. Kinda pissed us off though because we wanted to sleep after catching our limit of halibut and coho.
