Whats in that place? I heard there was bass in there, and I would love to pay it a visit with my new bass flies. Anybody ever fished this place? Any info would be great! thanks!! :)

Hey I know that Fishtrap was included in Outdoor Canadas "best" bass waters for the Lower Rainland.
Maybe have a look at the back issues of that mag for more bass "hot spots" in the area.

PS: Don't forget you fish bonker or some other implement of death.

Wow I did not realize there was so much bass fishing around. Kind of scary especially in the North Allouette. I thought that Whonnock Lake had them as well.

What a shame.

We used to fish Fishtrap Creek and a few others in the area (0 Ave, Mt Lehman 232nd - 264th east) in the late 70"s up to the early 80's. The Cutthroat fishing was incredible. In the winter months some of the systems would produce trout up to 5 lbs. Coho and Steelhead were also present. Much of the fishing area was on private property and if you asked with the exception of one person they always let us fish there.

The only threat to the fish population back then was fertilizers from the farm fields and residential/industrial building.
To bad it's gone downhill so bad. I wonder if the Bass are work of the Canadian or American bucket brigade?
