Pretty good timing this morning. This one flew down when I just happened to be in the backyard and it stayed for 20 seconds. :)

American goldfinch?
Yup!

I was down near Denver this past week and work had me so busy, I thought I'd NEVER get out to shoot. Saturday morning gave me a brief opportunity and I wasn't disappointed.  I got my first meadowlark:

Without seeing more of the beak/head ratio, I'm going to guess downy woodpecker.
Your Chickadee is actually a dark-eyed Junco (Oregon subvariety)

Lovely barn swallows and robin chicks!

Male American Goldfinch

A couple shots of this lovely little bird:

Which of the two do _YOU_ prefer?  I tend toward the second, more upright, but others have preferred the first.

Female Ruby Throated Hummingbird

We seem to get a lot more female birds around the hummingbird feeder than males... Finally got one far enough from the actual feeder. They don't seem to like the sun :( Without much further ado, here she is:

GREAT CAPTURE!!!!!!!! That is an awesome shot DS  ;D

I love hummingbirds.  I had a few visitors a couple weeks back but no more have showed up since.  I think they must have been "passing through".

What a great shot that is DS..colors work very well against the background..brings out the greens... Just gorgeous!!  hats off :)
