Conditions were so good today I could taste a fish on every drift, well nearly. Was going to put a little report here but better not as the boss would move it anyway. ;D ;D Will start another thread with a brief report only.

Conditions were good today except for a wind that made Terry and I head to Tims for coffee fairly early.

I headed out after that and the wind had died down and conditions remained good all day except for the lack of fish, that I saw anyway. I only saw one fish, that an angler broke off, heard of 3 others. The Master I believe was skunked too. :o

The highlights for the day for the day were missing a fish twice before I hooked it, on the third try. I got a brief thrill until I found I had hooked a 3 pound wild coho buck that had not spawned yet. Then I found two Drennans in a log jam including the Maple Leaf Drennan I lost yesterday when I broke a steelhead off. Glad I found it before Lucky or Fish Assassin as the latter would have ripped the logo off. :'( ;D I have taken the liberty of posting a little off topic as I donot have to write The Journal this evening as would be hard to write much of one due to the lack of action.

Rain in the forcast now may give us a few days off. :-\

we all have to think positive and chant NO RAIN, NO RAIN, NO RAIN, the only thing getting me through the work week lately has been daydreams of the weekend and hooking into one of those elusive silver beauties.

Lower river was in perfect shape but low. Mid river there is a touch of turqouise blue but at least 2-3 ft visibility. No rain while I left at 5PM. Tight line.

Once again we have some snow on the ground this morning so I would think the river should still be in this morning. If not I will report back later.

I'm leaving right now so I hope Chris doesn't come on in a few minutes and say "Rivers blown top to bottom!" But I guess it's always better to see it for yourself.

Edit: Wow, as I posted this chris made his post. LOL

I was reading your mind. ;D ;D ;D Watch the roads, leave plenty of time to reach the river by first light, that is around a hour away.

Conditions were fishable this am but I did not get out of the Leaf Mobile as the snow had turned to rain. I just came back from the KWB area and the river appears to be going out, visibility there was still about 2 feet at 10am. With all the rain coming down things do not look good. I imagine we will hear an update later, from those that braved the elements.

Looked at river at noon today and was surprised to see it fishable. Maybe we can get a later update from someone who was out on the river. I heard of the odd fish taken.

It is raining now in Chilliwack.
