Post by: bbronswyk2000 on November 26, 2004, 07:06:43 PM
If you pick other please write it in. Also write in your early NFL MVP. My vote (it should be everyones) is for Peyton Manning.

I am a Broncos fan first and foremost and a Seahawks fan 2nd but the Seahawks are the biggest disappointment in the NFL this year. The recievers just cant catch they have the most dropped passes in the league. Hasselback can only do so much same with Alexander who is doing awesome but those recievers are pathetic. The defense which was supposed to be really good is not holding up either.

Yup, the Squawks are given their fans major heartburn, whats with all their dropped passes  :o.  I'm surprised they are still in first place but then again, look what teams are in their division.

Yup their divsion is by far the worst in the NFL. The worst game of teh year for the Hawks has to be the game against the Rams where they blew a 17 point lead thats was a pathetic. I think they need to give the ball more to Rice atleast he wont drop the ball nearly as much he might not have the amazing speed anymore but he is still a good possesion reciever. Also Jeremy Stevens is turning out to have pretty good hands as well but Robinson and Jackson drop 1 out of 3 balls thats just terrible.

The Hawks better not embarrass themselves this week on MNF in front of a national audience.  They'll be playing the struggling Cowboys so who knows?  They were supposed to manhandle the Bills as well last week...

Stevens is great.  In college, he was the go 2 tight end for the Washington Huskies during their 2000 Rose Bowl season.  He was a huge target for Marques Tuisosopo (sp?).

Well the Cowboys do have a decent defense so they might give us problems. Julius Jones the rookie rushed for over 150 yards last week against a strong Bears defense so he might be tough to stop as well and of course they have possibly the best coach in football so I would not underestimate the Cowboys as much as I dislike them.

The Bills have won 5 of their last 6 so they were on a roll and only 1 other team had gained 100 yards rushing on them so they are not as bad as their record indicates.

I figure that the Seahawks have to go atleast 10-6 for the year to win their division the NFC is terrible this year the AFC has all the best teams only the Eagles have a really good record in the NFC and the Steelers beat them and beat them pretty easily. The Eagles even had problems with the 3-8 Browns so the NFC is weak.

My other picks died.  I guess I'll have to go with the two teams I loved as a kid.  Steelers and Pats.

For the Hawks, it was not surprising that their season ended with a dropped pass.

Manning was superb in the regular season.  The Pats D played tough last week.

Go Pats.

Although picking the Pats to win the Superbowl wasn't all that hard, they did win last year and were favourites this year too.  Now the Sox, that was a little more gutsy.
I should have bought a lottery ticket on that day.

I know BG.  I didn't for these picks so thats why I'm still at my dayjob today  :(
Although I did win our company's office Pigskin Pickem pool  ;)

I also lost some $ on Sunday because I picked the Pats to beat the 7 point spread.  I shouldn't have because they've only won their superbowls by 3 points each time!  I was hoping on the last interception, that the Pats would return it for a touchdown, but he just went down with 9 seconds remaining.

I dont understand the point spread!  Does it mean that if the Pats win, you have to be within or outside the point spread?  Maybe you can explain that to me? ???

I picked the Pats to beat the Eagles and the point spread was 7 points.  So the Pats would have had to beat the Eagles by at least 8 points for me to win the bet.  Its kinda like a handicap.  Since their win was by only 3 points, I lost the bet.

Here's some more info on point spreads
