So my son and I fished lafarge on sun. And it seems it is fished out again. We were there from 8 am to 1130am.Did not see any sign of fish.We were fly fishing from a pontoon and a tube we used wooly buggers both black and olive, olive damsel nymphs, and green 52 buick. There were 4 or 5 fishing from shore with bait and lures.Did not see anybody get a bite.So I guess 1000 or so fish are gone :o already.ps. I did not see any of the people I usually see .

The otter must still be there. You would be amazed how many fish one can eat. I know they where thinking of trapping the little guy but I do not know if they did or not.
-
sure isnt fished out. fished there last night, total landed: 14 , 8 of them in 15mins.
all released of course.
-
atta boy, show that otter up!
-
Actually there is more than one Otter around there now. I counted 4 together one day. I hate to say it but they are wreaking havoc on the Coquitlam the last two years. They have places all over the river that didn't use to be there so there is probably more.
As for the all other fish being caught by 5 people in 3 weeks, I kind of doubt it. But I guess if there half otter then yes it was them for sure.

OUTSTANDING, :o coho cody I am gald to hear that.Guess I will have to give it another go.

here's something all you bass 'dislikers' will enjoy hearing, bass #s are down in many of the bodies of water that i fish and i've caught several w/slashes on them. it confused me @ first cuz i thought it was from motor props and then realized that you couldn't run an outboard in the katzie marsh so out w/that idea, so i'm pretty sure they are being eaten and attacked by otters. i can't believe that someone on this forum suggested to trap the otters just so they could catch a puny stocked trout.we got some people on this site that are really showing their true colours, real 'conservationists'!. . I know they where thinking of trapping the little guy but I do not know if they did or not.
You obviously don't realize that trout are magnificent.
-
actually all creatures in the eco-system are great so if we are gonna trap otters for eating stocked trout are we gonna shoot bald eagles and bears for taking obviously more than their fair share of our salmon returns? :)
What the hell does trapping an otter from a SMALL lake to release it somewhere else have to do with the shooting of eagles and bears. Your comment has no basis and makes no sense in the least. ::) Go hug another tree! :-* ;D

He's right Dave. eagle feathers would tie nice flies, and me and you could cuddle in front of the fire on a bear rug.

I do belive it was the CO's that where thinking of trapping the otter. If you where talking about me why would I want to trap it. Go blow it out your bass ;D.

U've got a good point " ssab_nik "" i agree with you. How did an otter get in lafarge lake though?!?!?!?
