Yep, those new trophy tackle spinners were KILLING it yesterday.
Probably out fished spoons on a 5 to 1 or 6 to 1 ratio. Copper vs Silver blade worked 3 to 1 better in the coloured up water.

So lets see what Kitty caught..

She didn't get many. She refused to switch from spoons while I tried out the spinners.
She eventually gave in and got a couple at the end of the day on the spinners.

She only landed that 2nd fish pic on the spoons. We were having major problems getting them to stick to the bigger hooks on the spoons for some reason... didn't have any of my little trailer set ups with me.

It's actually interesting. I have yet to lose a single coho this season so far on the trailer hooks, both on beaches and in the rivers. On the normal spoons hooks I'm sitting at just over 30% landed. It's now to the point where I have 0 confidence in the siwash hooks, regardless of brand/size and modifications I've made.

But just for you Dave, here's one of the happy girl:

So... uhh... has any one else ever seen a coho this big?  :o

Length was 35 inches... didn't take a girth. Biggest I've ever seen in person by far, well over 20 for sure!
She's kicking my arse this year... got it behind me even...

One more of what caught the beast...
