Nice Jack GMachine, but what do you call that fly pattern in his mouth?

Just float fishing with UV pink wool. That was caught on the first drift at the water he was holding btw :)

Just ribbing on the successful fly fisherman is all.  It was a nice catch.

The rain brought in some chrome.  All caught on metal.

ok, I've lurking and reading and learning ALOT about fishing in BC and Canada in general.
I'm going to try and put up some pics, some are old and some are recent of my local fish style, type of fish and locations. Also the local mudcrabs the we get out the back of my summer house.

LOL, yes, them crabs, they have a habit of crunching people thumbs or toes if they're running loose in the boat. Once they latch on, everyone in the estuary will know.
The only way to get back at them is to eat them, and they are really tasty little critters.

Thanks for sharing hungry6. Some cool species there a nice change for sure.

Will look for some deep oceanic species and large estuary action later in week from the other hard drive.
But saying that I'm so pumped up to get to BC next year "hopefully!" to catch a few salmon
My GF doesn't understand the time, effort and dollar to do what I'm doing.
I haven't got any North American species under my belt beside Atlantic Salmon which I caught in NZ.
Which took 3 trips over 3 years to land 1 fish around 8 kgs, nothing huge.

You guys have no idea how lucky you are with an abundant fishery that you have at your doorstep, that is easily accessible without huge out lay for boats and transport, and then to see some of the antics of "greedy/crazy" fisher is beyond my comprehension

The grass is always greener on the other side. ;D hungry6, I've lived and fished in both Australia and Canada. While the quality of salmon and trout fishing in BC cannot be matched in a few other parts of this planet, Australia's saltwater fishing is far better than all the other regions where I have fished. If given the option on where to fish, I'd rather be jigging or livebaiting for kingies on the East Coast, freespooling for snappers in the South, bottom fishing for King George whiting, rockhopping for drummers, and landbased spinning for kahawai and other pelagic species.
