Really?

Do you think that someone could land a sturgeon with a Sockeye rod?
Too soon for Coho and summer runs are very rare.

Edit: or are you talking about commercial fishing?
If so, then that comment is valid.

Too early for coho? Been hooking them on the Thompson usually end of August-September. Plenty of them by mid September

Have you ever even been on a commercial boat? Any fish that is not legal to keep is released. Dont go off and tell me they dont survive because they do.

The big northern coho have been coming through for a while now.

cohos are around ,caught one last week at peg leg and was realesed nicely

.......  we are educated not to beach the fish,always release in the water,land the fish quickly,must use barbless hook and here how long to haul in the gill net,sort out the fish caught in the gill and release the illegal fish.So how many fish would survive.

Than we have the chum fishery all wild and hatchery coho coke in the gill net and 2 feet sturgeon,nothing escape.....is a meat hole
