Got at the river at about 7:30AM to try for some Coho or Spring. About 5 minutes into fishing, a fishermen beside us caught a nice spring, next cast, he catches a coho.
The water clarity was looking good, maybe 3 - 4 feet or so.
After about an hour, we move down river, all we saw down there were chum.
It was a fun day, even though we did not catch anything;D

just to add we saw some good fish caught at tamihi and lots of chum down river, when we didn't catch anything we whent to the stave but there were snaggers everywere >:(

Was out today, too. Spent a few hours at a nice section not too far from the crossing. No luck! Spent the balance of the day quite south of Borden Creek. Found a great little flow that funneled the fish through, unfortunately only able to find a few Springs that were nasty, a few Chum, one nice doe that escaped that I intended to keep and one fighter of a Coho that put on a great aerial show before slipping the hook and making a break for it. A great day on the river with my bro, albeit nothing to show for it on the table! C'est la vie!

ya but less, there is always a few around but for a first timer at the stave I was shocked at the masses of snaggers, that is why I had never gone to the stave before.
