Hey all
I知 gonna give Ambleside a go for some Coho. Just wanna get some thoughts on leader choice/ length etc...
I know a full intermediate line may be best but I only have a floating line. I do have a number of sink tips including a 9ft intermediate tip. I have a few fast sink tips in various lengths too.
I知 thinking I don稚 need to go too deep? Tippet fairly short...4-6ft?
Any advise would be awesome
Thanks

I use a full floating with 10 lb. tippet

Floating line with 12 foot leader and a tungsten weighted fly or use the intermediate sink tip with a shorter leader 6-8ft.
Intermediate gives you the option of going unweighted if the fish are looking for a slower presentation.
If the intermediate tip affects distance I would stay with the floating line.

The longer the better. Floating line is better than any sinking line since the water is 6feet or less.
I use 15'-20' 30lb down to 10lb tippet.

Thanks .. I値l try a long leader with the floating line. I知 assuming a weighted fly then ..

a little weighted fly. otherwise you cannot cast with long leader. Fish will come up eat the fly. They won't dig deep
