Below the Mission train bridge is tidal.

Stave is down-river from (below) the Mission train bridge so the Stave requires a Tidal licence.

You need a freshwater license to fish the Stave, not a tidal license.

Although most of the river is classified as non-tidal for the regs, it is heavily affected by the tides.
Last weekend it went from the lowest I have ever seen it in the am to close to the highest in the PM.
Resist the urge to wade across a side channel at low tide or you'll have a long wait to get home since the water can rise 4+ feet.

This is wrong information. You need a fresh water license to fish the stave with a salmon stamp.

Thanks guys!  I read online that said you need a tidal license and I wasn't sure if it is true or not so I decided to ask here and I got my answer!  Thanks for the input

The tidal boundary of Stave River is the CPR bridge. If you are fishing downstream from it, you'll need a tidal water fishing licence. If you are fishing upstream from it, you'll need a freshwater fishing licence.

The tidal boundary of streams in Areas 28 and 29 (Lower Mainland and Sunshine Coast) can be found at:

If you're online, go to the official regs!

True.

I was thinking the Fraser and it's tidal boundary and forgot that the Stave had a boundary as well.

there really isn't any Stave River downstream of the CPR bridge.
