Are used freezers electricity pigs?
« on: August 05, 2004, 10:01:49 AM »

Thinking about purchasing a used freezer - not too big- -for fish and berries...but wifey thinks it will be a pig on electricity - what's the situation...worth buying used or new?

I have an old one that was cheap to run when I bought it and is still cheap to run-I think your wife has no idea what she's talking about. ::)

If you want to use electricity efficiently then keep your freezer as full as possible.

Fill old milk/water jugs with water and keep them in the freezer.
