Fraser Valley Salmon Society is having its annual general meeting on Thursday April 21st at the Evergreen Hall in Chilliwack (9291 Corbould Street, Chilliwack). Doors open at 6:00pm and there will be refreshments for people to enjoy. The meeting will include a presentation by Joe Daniels from Fraser Riverkeeper and yours truly will also be talking about how this year's Chilliwack's All About Fishing was. There will also be an overview of DFO's 2016 salmon forecast, and updates from the presidents on upcoming activities around the Fraser Valley.
As always, there will be some draw prizes, including two guided Fraser River fishing trips for 2 from Great River Fishing Adventures and Prestige Sportfishing (one for sturgeon, one for salmon)!
To attend the meeting, you have to purchase a membership, which is $10 for the year or $100 for lifetime. Lifetime members receive 10% discounts at Chilliwack Dart and Tackle!
This is a worthy group to join as the salmon society is heavily involved with educating anglers in the Fraser Valley, attending important meetings such as the Sport Fishing Advisory Committee to ensure your angling opportunities are provided, as well as working with other local watershed stewardship groups on preserving the precious resources we have.
