Looks like the lake will remain solid frozen when fishing is open. Is there anybody check the ice thickness? Ice fishing kokanee near home would be fantastic
-
The ice is between 2 to 3 inches thick at by the boat launch but a lot thinner at the far end with slushes on top. Access at your own risk.
-
Thanks for the information. The forecasting in the next few days shows -10 in the night. I would imagine the ice thickness will increase substantially.

Dont count on it. Sunny and above zero during the daytime.

A few tents on the ice. Someone's instagram photo showed 5 kokanee on ice. 6 inches ice now
-
Cool.
Temps into the teens by this weekend. I can't imagine there will be ice for much longer, 7 degrees out there now.
-
Ice update?
-
Begging, pleading. Is it ice off/ramp open?
-
It's still frozen. Bit of grey patch on the north end, should be all gone by the end of this coming week.

Rod, are you still predicting ice off by this weekend?

One local resident told me there were some ice at boat lunch area, the rest part are cleared. I bet $100 there is not a single piece of ice on Saturday.

50%+, the north end is now ice free. Any day now.

The bay in front of the main boat launch was still frozen this morning, but the master went and plowed through it with his HMS Fraser Valley ice breaker so one more day!

LOL where’s the like button?
