Post by: Gooey on November 29, 2004, 02:36:20 PM: Food saver gets my thumbs up! A crappy vacum packer actually cost you money as it wont protect the food and ends up creating waste...its worth it to pay a little (or a lot) more. The $49 one I bought at the Bay for my dad got turfed 4 months later.

I've had bags go on me quite a few times, and before anyone asks, Yes they were from different batches and I always double seal them as well. I normally do an overnight freeze on my fish before I bag and seal them to get a tighter seal.

I may look at the Tilia? as I would like a better one, where did you get it?
