Pink year should be fun...I heard lower than the average but still 10-15 million fish is lots!
Sockeye 30 million! Oh right that is next year. This years cycle is what started the inquiry to the missing sockeye. I read a report that said anywhere from 2-10 million fish. So it is wide open with probability factors etc etc. I would imagine there might be limited opportunities for sports fishing. The Natives will get their fill and then some as per usual. Hopefully chinook and coho runs will start making a comeback in the straight. I heard good things about the Columbia runs for the fishery down the west coast of the island. I am concerned about the early freshet possibilities with the warm weather. If this continues the conditions might be unfavorable in the later summer months for migration.
