Post by: pwn50m3 f15h3r on June 28, 2015, 10:54:29 PM
I am going on a trip to victoria is a couple days and want to visit East Sooke park for some shore fishing off the rocks. Does anyone have any tips or advice to give me?

In addition to shore casting at Beechy Head in East Sooke, there is also Otter Point in West Sooke. Some big springs have come in off the rocks at Otter Point.

For the local low down, I suggest you go into Eagle Eye Outfitters to buy a couple of buzz bombs or zingers and ask a few questions.

When we were in Sooke for a family vacation a few years ago my only shore casting was for SRCs from Billings Spit. Had a couple of tugs but nothing to hand.

To fish either location, be prepared for a walk in, wear sturdy shoes for the rocks, and bring along big gear.
