sturgeon fishing
« on: November 14, 2004, 07:46:57 PM »

Howdy fishers,

I was going to try and organize a bit of sturgeon fishing for me and a few friends in december.  I figured that I would get a guide for 4 people, as I don't have any gear or a boat, and I want a nice picture of us with a big fish.  Anyone have some recommendations as to who is a good guide? or who knows a friend of a friend of a guide or what ever...

Anyways, the mighty bow river is still producing some nice trout for me... Even with ice on the edges, I managed to get a 20 and 23.5 inch rainbow last weekend, but I am very envious of all the salmon fishing that I read about over there.  :'(

Oh well...  I guess the browns, rainbows, bulls, and cutties will have to do for now.

Cheerio,

Jon

PS... Alfredo, you in?

Exactly!  Except you are covering up the phone number  ;)

Bent rods is still around?  I was looking for it, but the link was unavailable.

Thanks,

Jon

the best guide who works the hardest to have a happy customer is most definitly garry elgar, owner of jaymers fly and tackle( till december).
hes a great guy who has excellent rates and will bend over backwards for a customer. he is far above the others mentioned.

I would also recommend Garry. Call and ask for him at Jaymers.

604-944-2479

Or visit their shop in Port Coquitlam.
Jaymers Fishing Tackle
2847 Shaughnessy Street

Great prices and service! :)
