Has anyone caught any? I've caught some ,but wondering are they eatible ?

mmmmmm...very yummy

yah they're great. You can get them out of the stave, harrison, pitt, or even the fraser. When you catch them put them in clean water for a day to clean out their system.

Sasamat Lake also has Crayfish. Can one use a trap for them, like you would for lobster or prawns?

There is tons in the lower Vedder in the summer and fall hiding in all the big rocks of the dike.

with a trap youre gonna limit out really quickly. You can have a little more fun if you use a small fish head or piece of chicken tied to the end of some mono....you dont have to wait so long to check it and its a little more challenging than trapping them en masse. You'll still do well, too, just a fun way to do it that doesnt involve sitting and waiting so much.

What is the best time of year to fish for them?
