Headed out at 11 got there around 12...got the crab trap ready, chucked it in and pulled it up 2 mins later with this nasty jelly fish all over the trap. touched it by acident man did it burn!As for fishing there wasnt even a single bite! but i ended the day with 4 huge crabs! ;D good luck out there!
-
where'd you go for the crabs?
-
horseshoe bay, just take a boat head out set the traps near shore.oh yea watch out for the ferries coming in and out :)
-
the fish didnt bite, because the master is sitting at home watching TV ;D 8)

2 minutes is too short for a crab trap to be down. It takes me 15 minutes to load my catch bag when diving, and I am going after the crabs!
If you knew what a crab does during they day, you would leave your trap over night...because during the day they are just lying there buried.
try the over night trick!

Don't want to hijack but how much does aquaboy24 look like brendan fraser? Is it just me?

Problem with leaving the traps overnight is that there are too many unscrupulous people who wouldn't give a second thought of stealing your catch.
-
aquaboy i had no prob getting crabs had 7 in the trap on the first set 8 in the second set.Released alot of undersized crabs. yes i agree with FA, ppl are so brave now they'd steal your traps weather its day or night.

... as long as you have a line pulling it up... there will be people waiting. but 400 ft isnt deep at all if your going for prawns. usualy i drop it at like 300... thats like the best deapth for me.
