me again...some guy at cresent boat launch was sayin something about a 200lb herring was caught in the bay recently ...cant say its fact cause i never seen it but he was pretty adiment on his story...u here anything??

Is the guy talking about 200 lbs of herring or a 200 lb. herring ? In any event, I think it's a fish tale.

big herring??? biggest ive ever seen was less than a foot long.

The BC sport record is 320 lb caught at Langara. So 200 lb wouldn't be unheard of. Don't see too many of those nearby these days.

He was talking about a 200lb halibut, not herring.
