Well duck hunting is starting to pick up with the Northern Mallards starting to show in our area now. I ventured out a few days ago and bagged 2 on three shots.
Both were Northern Drake birds,both good sized mallards too and good eating as well.
Rodney was interested in trying one so I gave him one. He may tell of his experience in picking, cleaning, cooking and eating it.I hope it was an enjoyable meal and was not fishy as they will eat rotting fish. Fish and duck combined is not good table fare and will create a smell that will not make the family too happy to say the least..
