Seals in the Fraser
« on: August 29, 2011, 09:00:12 PM »

Do the seals not bother coming up the river when it is so high and turbid?  I haven't seen any this year.  Though I did see a beaver :P

Good question.  I have not seen a seal this year where I fish in Richmond and usually see them regularly.

Theres lots of seal in there. I've seen several in the Langley area and also above the crossing in the vedder. I almost got knocked over by one while fishing a seam, he was jumping from the slack water into the current and just about clipped me. Almost peed my pants, scared the cupcakes out of me :)

There was one all day around Bowman's Bar on Sunday. He/she seems to be playing with the pinks!

I've been seeing seals regularly in the Chilliwack area.  Do they ever leave?  Or are they pretty much resident in the the LML fraser.  I also see them in Harrison Lake -- figured those ones are definitely residents.  Anyone know?
