If you have self respect and care for the resource, you can use artificials such as gooey bobs or single plastic eggs and a bit of yarn under a float. You can also use small colorado blades under your float. Keep your leader short (up to 24 inches maximum), so you can detect every legitimate bite easily. Don't set the hook at the end of every drift and don't use long leaders. If you see people doing that, stay away and try to find someone who is fishing properly.
KWB is not exactly the best area to learn how to fish, but hey...you have to start from somewhere. :)

buy some roe, short float behind the snaggers at keith wilson bridge. and you will hit fresh fish moving into that pool.

Short float dont snag avoid the bottom bouncing idiots of the bedders

Gotta play with the depth, that's how I learned.l would measure it out in comparison to the length of my rod(no innuendo)

here's a tip stay back from the waters edge if you can see them they can see you, there is no need to be standing in the water.

what color colorado blade? silver? what is most effective? the yarn or the colorado blade? thanks

I would stay away from the crowds at kwb very poor fishing ethics being presented there find yourself a decent section to fish and try different types of methods and adapt to the water conditions eventually you'll hook into some fish and ohhh yeah roe seems to be the trick for me personally but that's just me just saying good luck buddy hopefully the river produces you some fish tight lines ;D
