My dad went out with some of his buddies (some with very little fising experience) last thursday, dad hoked into on coho and lost it, between the 4-5 of them, they snagged multiple chums and snapped one rod. But then again, this does reflect my dad's angling abilities, the conclusion  came to was that if my dad could so much as hook one, the river would be ful...hehe

Just kidding, he went pretty far up river, which I think was the reason for his lack of success.

I'm heading out on Sunday and will post a report when I get home.

If you do go any time before then, could you please send me report ? or post one, please.

Went out this morning just to have a look.  Water has crystal clear clarity but certainly fish were few and far between.  I walked downstream from the Highway 7 bridge and saw a few coho rising on the inside of the booms and the odd chum splashing in the mainstem.  No takers for me though on the croc, perhaps first light might give up a few.

Spoke to a flyguy and he saw a few moving above the bridge up to the first point but again, no fish caught.  I walked up the golfcourse side as well, the odd chum rising but it was getting later (11am) on and the river was very calm.  Lots of sun and crystal clear = zero fish  :P.  Oh, a seal is up there too, still chasing the odd fish about so that doesn't help as well.

Took a look at Chehalis, and you will find your chum there.  Absolutely masses of them (most likely reason why so few in Harrison now).  Good luck to all and keep us updated.

Cheers

Well my wife and I went out for a little while this afternoon. There were quite a few fish around but we had no takers in our short time fishing. She was throwing lures and I was fly fishing. Ah well, will be out tomorrow with a couple friends to give it another go.

We did watch a guy land a nice sturgeon though. That looked like a blast, but very tiring.  :)
