Reel Engravings...
« on: June 18, 2005, 07:09:15 PM »

For my grad present, my parents got me a rather nice reel that I've been trying to buy for a while now, an MR-2. I would now like to personalize it a bit, but don't know where to get it done, anyone have any ideas ? or suggestions ?

DON'T DO IT

I too got a nice reel for graduation and it means a lot, but do not engrave it because that will cut through the anodized layer and salt can get in and corrode the reel, as well as void the warranty. If you want to personalize something maybe embroider your name on the reel pouch or something.

Since when was I:
a) Old
b) Big time operator
 :P ;)

Some even sweeter pieces of art on that site. 8)

My dilema is that I go North on the 1st of July, and need to have it by then, and somethign tells me that I won't be able to send it East, get it all prettyed up, and then send back, all within 2 weeks. Give me somethign to look into when I get back.

I've been thinking about the warrenty thing, I don't think I'll do it this season.

Thanks for the input.

There is a store called "Things Engraved" affiliated with Sears, one store is in Guilford mall and another one is ic coquitlam mall, they should be able to do the job
